Introduction
Patrachar Vidyalaya is the Pioneer institution in the field
of correspondence education at school level. It was established in January 1968
with the sole purpose of opening new vistas of education for the drop-outs and
those belonging to weaker sections of society who could not continue their
educational facilities. Admissions are opened for following categories :
1. Who are residing
in Delhi? (Proof of residence in Delhi is required).
2. To Jawans posted
in the border regions.
3. Wards of Indian
National residing abroad and working in Indian Missions.
4. Drop outs Male and
Female.
The Vidyalaya
runs under the government and fiscal control of the Directorate of Education,
Delhi . The Director of Education , govt. of NCT, Delhi has the right to modify
the rules and regulations regarding admissions or withholding the candidature
of any student if considers necessary. His decisions cannot be challenged. All
the disputes and court cases be settled in Delhi. Courts only.
Caution
Patrachar Vidyalaya has not authorised any outside individual
or agency or consultancy or academy or any organisation like Coaching Center to
work on its behalf in any manner and at any stage , if it is found theat the
candidate has taken the help of these Private agencies for seeking admission to
the course or in any other manner concerning this course his/her candidature
will be cancelled and fee will be forfeited.
1. P.V. Does not
issue any character certificate to the students.
2. D.T.C. Pass is
not permissible to P.V. students.
Courses Offered
Patrachar
Vidyalaya prepares students for
Secondary and Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations ( X,XI, XII
Classes) of the Central Board of Secondary Education , Delhi in all the three
streams viz, Humanities, Commerce and
Science.
Medium of Instruction
Except on
languages , the medium of instruction in the subjects of Arts and Commerce
stream is Hindi. The students can, however, offer English, Urdu as the medium
of answering questions in response sheets and in Board’s Examinations. The Medium
of instruction is Science subject at senior secondary school level ( Physics,
Chemistry, Maths and Biology) is English.
Method of Imparting
Education
The Vidyalaya
supply the study-material only for those students who are enrolled in Patrachar
Vidyalaya in the shape of printed lessens on all the subjects to supplement the
study of text books and to help students to grasp the subject contents in each
subject. Available study material based on CBSE syllabus will be supplied to
the students free of cost.
Students are
advised to collect/receive personally their study materials due to bud-getary
constraints or administrative formalities. Hence , students are advised to
study with the help of prescribed books
by N.C.E.R.T./C.B.S.E. which is easily available in the market.
Personal Contract
Programme and Remedial Classes
Beside providing
printed lessons in the form of books/booklet the Vidyalaya organizes Personal
Contact Pragram from September to December on Sunday and during Autumn
Break/Winter Break for all the classes. Remedial Classes are also held for
classes X and XII on all working days in January and February , Students are advised to attend
these classes with their Patrachar No. i.e.
I Card . Science students are regularly given coaching in our well equipped
labs. Students must attend regular practical in labs. Alternative arrangement
for practical classes may be done at the Science Centers running under the
Directorate of Education, Govt. Of NCT , Delhi . Schedule for PCP/Remedial
classes may be changed due to Common Wealth Games, held in Delhi in 2010.
1. Eligibility For
Admission
Class X
(a) Those students who have
passed either Classes IX or Class VIII ( with one year gap ) from a recognized
school are Eligible for
admission to classes X so as to appear in Board , Exam in the subsequent year .
Students failed in class X are also
eligible for class-X admission.
(b) Female students can seek
admission to class X on the basis of an affidavit as per perform given in the
Prospectous. The female students must have completed 14 years of age on 30
September.
(c) The Sutdent seeking
admission in class X must have completed 14 years of age as on 30 September
2010 for the session 2010-11.
Note: Patrachar Vidyalaya students who fail in X
class exam may get their exam from forwarded from the Vidyalaya. They need get
admission again.
2- Eligibility for Admission
Class XI
(a) Students
must have Matriculation/high school/Secondary School Examinaion from a
recognized Board/University or any other equivalent examination.
Promotion Of Class-XI Students to Class-XII
Student seeking admission in Class Xi
must be passed matriculation from recognized board/University.
Students
of class Xi are promoted to class XII on the basis of their performance based
on response-sheets. They must deposit their their response sheet of the
assignments given by the Vidyalaya to the students in all the students in all
the subjects latest by 31 December 2010. If they fail to do so, they will
themselves be responsible for the loss of one precious academic year of their
life. Pas students of class XI of the Vidyalaya will fill in application from
for admission in class XII. Such studens are eligible for admission in class
XII in Patrachar Vidyalaya only. They shall not claim their XI class pass SLC.
Such students shall not be eligible for admission in class XII in any govt.
school of NCT Delhi. Students are advised to collect personally their questions
for assignments from Patrachar Vidyalaya, BL-BLOACK, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi-88.
3. Eligibility for Addmission in
Class XII
(a) (i) Male students must have passed Xi or its
equivalent examination form recognized School/Board after having passed class X
examination form a recognized Board/University.
(ii)Female
students are allowed to seek admission directly to class XII having atleast one
year gap after passing class X exam, from recognized Board or failed in class
XI.
(b) Students who have failed in class
XII or equivalent examination of a recognized Board/University are eligible for
admission to class XII.
However, Patrachar Vidyalaya students
who fail in XII class may appear directly as private candidate and their exam
forms shall be forwarded to CBSE.
Mode of Payment of Admission Fee
Admission fee must only be paid
through the prescribed from of Bank of challan annexed with the prospectous in
any nearby branch of state Bank of India, at Delhi. The paid copy of challan
from of patrachar vidyalaya is to be enclosed along with the admission from at
the time of admission. Before depositing the requisite admission fee through
Bank Challan, student must insure that he/she fulfill the criteria of admission
and required documents.
Proof of Residence
As a proof of residence candidate may
enclose any one of the following documents :
(a) Ration Card/Voter I-Card
showing the name of the candidate in legible form. In case of minoe, the Voter
I- Card of his/her parents is also acceptable.
(b) Attested photocopy of
Driving license on in the name of candidate issued from Delhi Transport
Authority.
(c) Affidavit for residence
proof on Delhi issued by SDM/ 1st
class Magistrate.
Note : Admission
form received without supporting documents foe the residence of Delhi will be
rejected and fee will not be refunded.
Documents to be Attached
For Class X
1.
(a) School Leaving
Certificate/Transfer Certificate from the school last attended duly
countersigned by the Education Officer D.I.S/Inspector of School concerned and
marks statement with two Photostat attested copies thereof.
(b) Female candidates seeking admission on the basis of affidavit shall
submit affidavit as per given Proforma annexed as A/B with the prospectus.

Attested photo copy of S.C./S.T. Certificate.
3.
Certificate for physical disability is issued by the Competent
Authority.
4.
Attested photo copy for the Proof of residence in Delhi.
5.
Copy of Bank Challan Form of Patrachar Vidyalaya showing the requisite
fee deposited in any branch of S.B.I. situated in Delhi.
For Class XI
1. Photostat attested copies of
Secondary/ X-class pass Certificate and mark sheet along with original
certificate for
Verification.
2.
Transfer Certificate countersigned by Education Officer/Migration
Certificate from Board.
3.
Copy of Bank Challan Form for Patrachar Vidyalaya , showing the
requisite fee deposited in any branch of S.B.I. situated in Delhi.
4. Attested photo copy of S.C./S.T.
Certificate .
5.
Certificate for physical disability is issued by the Competent
Authority.
6.
Attested photo copy for the Proof residence in Delhi.
7.
Teacher’s Ward Certificate duly countersigned by the E.O./Inspector of
School concerned.
For Class XII
1.
Class XI Pass Students of the Vidyalaya
will fill admission form afresh
for admission to class XII. They will produce Metric Certificate and XI Class
pass certificate (IN ORIGINAL PASSED FROM P.V.) along with two attested
photocopies.
2.
Board certificate with Mark –statement of (X Class) having passed the
Higher Secondary (XI Class ) for male candidate/Secondary (X Class) for female
candidate with one year gap with two Photostat attested copies of each , along
with original certificate for verification.
3.
S.L.C/T.C. of having passed the class XI or failed in XII , from a
recognized school duly countersigned by the E.O./D.I.O.S./Inspector of School
concerned with two Photostat attested
copies thereof.
4.
Transfer Certificate with two Photostat attested copies or Migration
Certificate (in original), if the student has passed Hr. Secondary/ Secondary
or equivalent Examination from a Board/ University other than the Central Board
of Secondary Education, New Delhi.
5.
Copy of Bank Challan Form for Patrachar Vidyalaya showing the requisite
fee deposited in S.B.I. Delhi
6.
Attested photo copy of S.C./S.T. Certificate.
7.
Certificate for physical disability is issued by the Competent
Authority.
8.
Teacher’s ward Certificate duly
countersigned by the E.O./Inspector of School concerned.
Admission Procedure
Students seeking admission to
classes X or XII should fill in
Admission Form with passport size photograph affixed on it and attested
by the Head of the school last attended and submit it along with it along with all relevant documents/papers
at the Vidyalaya admission counter from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on any working days
or send it by post along with postal address sheet and the relevant
papers/documents. Admission forms received by post must be duly filled and
possessed all the relevant documents completed in all respect. Incomplet admission form shall be
treated as cancelled and the admission fee will be forfeited. Students should
confirm his/her admission with in seven days personally form submitted through
Patrachar Vidyalaya will not hold any responsibility fot any rejection, in case
form submitted through Post.
Patrachar Vidyalaya , will
give provisional admission and issue acknowledgment for enrollment /P.V.No The
admission will remain provisional till the time it is conformed by Patrachar
Vidyalaya , after re-checking the required documents enclosed along with the
admission form. The fee will not be refunded in case of cancellation of
admission form.
Admission Fee Concessions
Admission Fee Concession of Rs.150 is
allowed to :
( i ) Students belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled
Tribe on production of a Certificate to the effect from the SDM/D.C with two
Photostat attested copies thereof Students above 18 years of age must produce a
cerufucate in his or her name.
( ii
) Wards of those Armed forces or paramilitary Personnel who have been
killed or disabled during action of 1962, 1965, 1971 on the production of
documentary proof from the competent Authority vide Govt. of India Order
No.17.19.71 cell 2 dated 28.12.71.
(iii)
Wards of teacher working on Govt. School of Delhi on producing a certificate
from the Head of the institution duly countersigned by the E.O/DEO, as per
Delhi Education Act 1973 No. dated 31.12.1973 Serial no. 157 to161.
RE-Imbursement of Fee for Govt. Servants
Govt. employees are entitled to the facility
of re-Imbursement of fee paid by their wards vide Govt, of India No. F3/15,E-II
B/74 dated 15.1.1975 Such persons should apply to the Vidyalaya to the effect with
a certificate that their wards is dependent upon him. The Vidyalaya will issue the
re-imbursement certificate on the production of which the eligible Govt.
Employees can get the tuition fee reimbursed from their department/officr.
Scheme of Studies
Students should
strictly follows the pattern of the subject combination a given below.
FOR CLASES X (FIVE SUBJECTS)
(a)
English-A, English-B, Hindi-A, Hindi-B, Sanskrit, Punjabi, Bengali,
Urdu, Tamil, Telgue, Sindhi, Marathi, Gujrati, or Persian ( any two Languages).
Any Two of the
Following
(b) Science/Commerce/Home Science/Mathematics/Music (Vocal)
(only for blinds).
(c) Social Science is compulsory.
(d) No additional subject is allowed.
FOR CLASSES XI AND XII (ART AND
COMMERCE)
Any Two of the
Following Languages
Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Urdu, (All Elective) English (core), Sanskrit (Core). Humanities Group (Five subjects including two
Language).
Any Three of the
Following
History/ Pol. Science/ Economics/Geography/Maths/Sociology/Home Science.
Commerce Group (five subject including one
language)
Any three from the following subjects
Business Studies/Accountancy/Economics/Geog./Mathematics.
FOR CLASSES XI AND XII
(SCIENCE) FIVE SUBJECTS
1. Any one of the
following languages :
English ( Core
), Sanskrit (Core/Elec.) Hindi (Elec.), Urdu (Elect.)
2. Physics, Chemistry
. Mathematics and Biology.
Note : Second
language can also be taken in lieu of Mathematics or Biology. “Subjects
involving practical are allowed to local students of Delhi” only.
No request will be entertained for
the change of subject, after submission of admission form. Students should be discreet in selecting the subject.
Examination Form and
Fees for Classes X and XII
Students will deposit personally their
examination fees in Patrachar Vidyalaya ,BL-BLOCK, Shalimar Bagh Delhi-88 Candidate
will not appear CBSE examination without submission of requisite his/her
examination fee. Examination fee will be paid in cash by the candidate,
Patrachar Vidyalaya will not hold any responsibility for any delay regarding submission of examination fee / filling of
CBSE Examination Sheet (LOC) are correct before mark his/her signature, Subject
and their respective subject code filled ones in the LOC will not be changed in
any circumstances. Students must get the receipt of Examination fee deposited
by him/her from the Concerned Admission Incharge.
Patrachar
Vidyalaya issued important notice through news paper from thme to time.
Students should better keep in touch with the same in their own interest.. All
the students are advised to submit personally their Examination fee in
Patrachar Vidyalaya , BL-BLOCK Shalimar Bagh, Delhi-88.
Direction for Foregin
Students (Outside India) : Indian National Working in Forein Embassy
Those who are residing outside India
are required to submit N.O.C to C.B.S.E., Preet Vihar , New Delhi one attested
copy of N.O.C. should be submitted to Patrachar Vidyalaya , BL-Block Shalimar Bagh Delhi-88 Such students are not
allowed to take those subjects, which involve practical work.
At the time of Admission in Patrachar
Vidyalaya BL-BLOCK Shalimar Bagh ,
Delhi-88 following documents are to be enclosed with the admission form.
1. Attested copy of Pass- Port (one)
2. Attested copy of
N.O.C. from concerned Embassy.
3.
The paid copy of Challan form of Patrachar Vidyalaya is to be enclosed
along with the admission form deposited in any branch of S.B.I. in Delhi or
draft issued by International Bank in favour of DDO Patrachar Vidyalaya.
4.
Those female students who seek admission in X class on the basic of
Affidavit are required to produce Affidavit through their concerned Embassy.
